Showtime in September

"Tiny Dragonfly" 4" x 4" Acrylic on Canvas (Available)

September is back to school month for my kids, and back to shows, creating art and doing the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge for myself.

I've created a few tiny art pieces for the challenge so far, including the dragonfly (above) as well as the toad (below), I've had a lot of fun creating these miniatures and they did very well at the Art in the Park event.

Tiny Toad 4" x 4" Acrylic on Canvas (SOLD)

Speaking of the Art in the Park, I want to take a moment to thank everyone that stopped by and said "hello" and to all those that walked away with either note cards or an original piece of art. I and all the other artists involved appreciate your support. For those that were not able to attend here's a taste of what my booth was like...

...and here's a bit of the aftermath at home, Yikes!!!

Thank you to all that signed up for my blog and newsletter. I have not finished setting up my newsletter formats yet (technology is not my thing), but once I do you will receive a newsletter about once a month to find out what's on the easel, what the plans are for the upcoming month, any events I will be at and there will also be specials available only to subscribers around the holidays.

A big congratulations to Anita R. the winner of my 5 pack of cards giveaway!!

She selected these cards below...a great choice Anita, I hope you enjoy them.

This Sunday (the 10th of September) I will be at the Cheshire Fairgrounds in Swanzey, NH during one of their horse shows. I will have all my equine works as well as farm animals and a small selection of native wildlife. If there is a particular piece you would like to see in person let me know and I'll be sure to bring it if it's still available.

One more important bit of news that I have shared on social media and I also wanted to share here. 10% of every original piece of art sold will be donated to the Animal Welfare Institute. This is a great organization that helps a multitude of animals in many different capacities. Please take a moment (after you finish reading my blog of course!), and click on their logo below to check out the good work they do.

I believe that keeps you up to speed on what's been happening here lately. I hope to hunker down soon when the weather gets a little cooler and get a good number of paintings done. If there is an animal you would like to see me paint and I haven't already done so please leave a suggestion in the comments below and I will add it to my list! Thanks for being so awesome and for reading the blog!

Until next time,

Nicole
